Heavy Earth Moving Machines Engineer

Location: South South Region, Nigeria

Age: 30 – 45 years

Academic Qualification: B.Eng/HND in Mechanical Engineering with minimum of 5 Years Experience

The Mechanic – HMV Maintenance would be responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, repair, and preventive maintenance of heavy motor vehicles to ensure optimal performance, safety, and compliance with manufacturer and regulatory standards.

Job Role: Mechanic – HMV Maintenance (only Technicians Living in Nigeria)
Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers State
Age: 30 – 45 years
Academic Qualification: OND, SSCE, Trade Test- I, II, III
Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the same role. Prior experience working in an automobile company is an added advantage

Key Responsibilities
Vehicle Diagnosis & Repair
• Diagnose mechanical faults in heavy motor vehicles using diagnostic tools and technical manuals
• Repair or replace faulty engines, gearboxes, axles, suspension systems, and braking systems
• Carry out engine overhauls and major mechanical repairs when required
Preventive Maintenance
• Perform routine servicing and preventive maintenance on HMVs
• Conduct inspections to identify wear, damage, or potential failures
• Ensure vehicles are maintained according to maintenance schedules

Systems Maintenance
• Maintain and repair:
- Diesel engines and fuel systems
- Transmission and clutch systems
- Steering and suspension systems
- Air and hydraulic braking systems
o Cooling and lubrication systems
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all repair work complies with safety standards and roadworthiness regulations
- workshop safety procedures and proper use of tools and equipment
- Maintain clean and safe working conditions
